Herbion was established in 1983 in Karachi by Mr. Akhlaque Ahmed, former Managing Director of Albert David. The Company started its operations through promotion of its’ ethical products in all the major towns in Pakistan. By 1987 Herbion had increased its product portfolio to six products.

In 1995, Herbion was acquired by Kehkashan Group of Companies which had been operating in diverse businesses like Leather, Textiles, Pharmaceuticals and general trading since 1967.

Under the dynamic leadership of the new management, Herbion started marketing and distributing its products in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) i.e. former Soviet Union. Kyrgyzstan became the first CIS state where it started its global operations with the first modern pharmaceutical plant being established in 1997 on turnkey basis for the Government of Kyrgyzstan. Herbion gradually expanded its markets to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

At present, Herbion markets and distributes its products in CIS and it plans to expand its operations to US and European Union markets in the coming years.

The management team comprises of highly trained professionals working in a multicultural global environment, ably headed by Mr. Nadeem Khalid and Mr. Khurram Khalid as Directors of the various subsidiaries of Herbion Group. Herbion is persistently performing to become a global leader in herbal medicine
