A “2-Day Annual Sales Meeting & Training Session” was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan from 4th to 5th January 2007. The meeting was headed by Mr. Akbar Noor, GM Kazakhstan along with Mr. Imran Hashmi, Product Manager Pakistan. The session was attended by Mr. Smagulov Erkebulan, Commercial Director Kz, Ms. Priz Olga, Key Client Manager Kz, Mr. Teoludmila, Regional Manager Kz and 13 medical representatives from various Kazakhstan cities.
The Key Objectives of ASM & TS are as follows:
1. To exchange Herbion’s growing profile and operations with all the participants
2. To train field force comprehensively about products’ Medical and Marketing aspects
3. To discuss existing and new innovative marketing strategies for all products
4. To impart education about the tools (FFMS & Herbion.com) available 24/7 for up-to-date information gathering
5. To discuss area-wise working pattern and sales analysis with sales team
Mr. Akbar Noor gave the introductory speech and highlighted the agenda of the meeting. Mr. Imran Hashmi delivered a presentation on Herbion operations covering company’s objectives, current operations & future plans, brief overview on major departments & countries, followed by comprehensive product presentations on Linkus, Verona, Evica & Intellan thereby highlighting product profile, clinical trials, competitor profile, marketing profile and promotional plan in an interactive manner. Mr. Erkebulan followed the proceedings by presenting detailed Sales Analysis. All medical representatives discussed their allocated products (Alfagin, Insty, and Bonjigar) and shared their sales knowledge & experiences with other participants. At the end of each session product medical representatives took product specific quizzes and the response received was good. The training session was concluded with a presentation from Mr. Akbar Noor in which he outlined the working pattern & sales format for all the stakeholders.
The “2 Day Annual Sales Meeting & Training Session” proved a very healthy and interactive activity. It offered a common platform to all the participants to exchange information, knowledge and experiences. Not only this, it proved highly successful in stimulating innovative ideas and invigorating team members to work with more zeal and zest in future!

Linkus Syrup - A Premium product of Herbion Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited, has topped the Herbal Cough Syrup Market in Kazakhstan in the year 2005-2006. At present 23 players comprising of 16 domestic and 7 foreign players are effective in the marketplace and among them Linkus has successfully attainted the top most standing thereby pushing Liquorice Syrup (manufactured by Chempharm, Kazakhstan) down the ranking ladder from no.1 to no. 2 followed by Doctor MOM (manufactured by Unique Pharmaceutical, India) at position 3. Linkus has gained immense popularity and greater recognition based on its efficacy and safety attributes.

Herbion International Inc. participated in the Thirteenth International Specialized Exhibition "APTEKA - 2006" which took place in "Olympiiski" Sport Complex from October 24th till October 27th, 2006. The exhibition is one of its kind, devoted mainly to the pharmaceutical market and considered as prestigious & recognized among the pharmaceutical industry's professionals. Participants of the exhibition were the leading professionals and experts in all spheres of pharmacy and medicine.
Herbion International Inc. turned out as one of the active participants of the exhibition. The Company’s stand drew attention of visitors due to competently arranged show-window, colorful models of packs and advertisement clips of Linkus and Insty (leading cough segment brands of company). Furthermore, required information was furnished to the participants in the form of product presentations and through on-the-spot discussions between audience and company representatives.
Newly launched Insty flavors were given due consideration for promotion. A taste campaign was run throughout the exhibition and all the flavors of Insty were well accepted by the audience due to its natural herbal essence. Majority of the visitors were familiar with the products of Herbion which clearly demonstrated the wide level recognition and popularity of company in pharmaceutical market and lay public due to its 100% herbal based natural preparations.
During the exhibition there were lots of compliments and comments towards the company and its production and best wishes were given for further prosperity. The exhibition allowed us to show the achievements of our company and to present product portfolio of the company with complete information about each preparation. This was to acquaint visitors with new preparations of Insty and open ways for further cooperation and oppertunities.
